About the practice

Accounting that explains itself

We believe you should understand your own numbers. Every return, account and recommendation comes with a plain explanation of what it means for you, and a person you can actually reach when questions come up.

Individuals & households

Tax returns, rental income and the occasional complicated year.

Freelancers & contractors

Self-employment records, expenses and payments on account made simple.

Small businesses

Books, payroll and year-end accounts for teams that would rather focus on the work.

How it works

Four steps to steady accounts

Whether you're switching accountants or starting fresh, the path is the same, and we handle the handover paperwork.

  1. 01

    Intro call

A relaxed conversation about your situation, what you need and what good support looks like.

  2. 02

    Clear proposal

A written scope that says exactly what's included and what it costs before any work begins.

  3. 03

    Onboarding

Secure document collection, and a hand-off from your previous accountant if you have one.

  4. 04

    Year-round support

Scheduled check-ins, deadlines tracked for you, and answers when you need them.

Questions

Good to know before we talk

What should I have ready for the intro call?

Nothing formal. A rough idea of your income sources, your business type if you have one, and any deadlines on your mind is plenty. We'll send a tailored document checklist afterwards.

Is it difficult to switch from my current accountant?

Not at all. With your permission we request the handover information directly, so you don't have to chase anything or have an awkward conversation.

Can we work together entirely remotely?

Yes. Documents are shared securely online and meetings happen by video call, so it doesn't matter where you're based.

How are fees worked out?

Fees depend on the scope and complexity of the work. After the intro call you'll receive a fixed, written quote. There's no hourly billing and no surprise invoices.

I'm behind on my records. Can you still help?

Yes. Catch-up bookkeeping and late returns are common. We'll prioritise what's most urgent and get everything current in a sensible order.
